My first novel on the Jack McEvoy charector. Although apparently i shouldve read The Poet first cause in storyline The Scarecrow was McEvoy's second case. I was introduced to author Michael Connelly when i picked up three of the four books he wrote using another one of his charectors Mickey Haller. Although being a life long fan of John Saul's and always reading his books only over any others i now can safely say that Connelly ranks right up there. His knowledge on journalism and the McEvoy charector is expansive as he was once a journalist himself. Connelly is very thourough in his knowledge of any topic he writes about which makes his reads all the better. Now i have put The Poet on my must read list
