City of Lost Souls - Cassandra Clare

Just finished Book 5 'City Of Lost Souls' and having read many a series in my time may i say that Cassie Clare's Immortal Instrument series is one of the greats!  Like all her books in this amazing series do she always leave's us with a cliffhanger (As to which i'm glad as the time i finish reading one of these books and it all ends...let's just say it would be highly dissapointing!)  Book 5 takes off roughly two weeks after the goings on in book 4 'City Of Fallen Angels' The clave have just about given up on searching for the now missing shadowhunter Jace and have put their full concentration on remaining to search out the evil brother of shadowhunter Clary Fray, Sebastian.

After hearing of this latest of Clave decisions she immediatly goes to meet with the rest of her shadowhunter/downworlder freinds, Izzy(Isabelle), her shadowhunter brother Alec, the head warlock Magnus Bane, her best freind in the world, vampire Simon and amongst them they decide to 'quietly' remain searching for their freind Jace. Noone seems to know where he is, even the eerie Silent Brothers who know and see all. Magnus has performed spell after spell all to result in the same outcome...where is Jace?

This book portrays everything that you could want in a fantasy adventure teen read. It's got vampires, werewolves, warlocks, fairies (although not nessecarily the good type as we have come to know them) and shadowhunters who have been put on this earth to police off the greater demons as they arise.  Cassandra Clare has once again penned out yet another great instalment in this series with more to come (So her website tells us).

These books beat out Harry Potter, Lord Of The Rings, Twilight and day of the week in my own unprofessional opinion!!
